Pop-Up Box Card Fun!

Hello Disney and Crafty Friends!  I had so much fun making this pop-up box card that I had to share it with you!

Here it is closed

 "Popped-Up"

 The details

Card Recipe:

Box Card Die set from Stamps of Life.  Go here to check it out.
Cricut Cartridge (either Mickey and Friends or Mickey Font.....can't remember)
Embossing folder
Cardstock from my stash

I absolutely LOVE all the dies from Stamps of Life.  If you have never heard of Stephanie Barnard you are missing out.  Her products are awesome. I had so much fun making this card! In case you are wondering where you would write your greeting there is plenty of room on the back of the "box" to write whatever you would like.  You could even stamp a greeting on the back if you wanted to.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope that you have a magical day doing something that you love!

Scrapbooking Disney!

Don't faint everyone!  I am actually posting a scrapbook layout :-) I have been working on this Disneyland/California Adventure album FOREVER!  It is SO close to completion yet SO far from it. LOL  I know that some of you out there can relate to me on this.  Don't get me wrong I love to scrapbook but every album reaches a point with me that I just want to get it finished.  That is about where I am with this one.  To spice it up I decided to use my Cricut on this layout.  It was just the thing I needed to do to spark some excitement in me to continue on with this album.  Donald's boat and his anchors on the "right page" were made using Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge.  I LOVE how it turned out (If I do say so myself. LOL)  The card stock used to create the boat was from Close To My Heart and NO other card stock cuts as wonderful as this does. The rest of the paper and embellishments were from my stash.

Here they are side by side all ready to go into my album.

Wordless Wednesday!

It's time for Wordless Wednesday!  A BIG thanks to Deb over at Focused On The Magic for hosting this fun hop.  This week the theme is:

The Disney Inspired Letter Q

Because he "quacks" me up I picked Donald "The Duck Man"!  Due to her love of the Duck Man, I dedicate this post to my buddy, Charlotte! Be sure to head on over to Focused On The Magic and hop around.  There are a lot of great blogs linked up.   Have a magical day everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Disney Friends

This week at Focused On The Magic the Wordless Wednesday Theme is"

Disney Friends!

That being said I dedicate this post to all the friends and family who have "done" Disneyland with me the way that I like to experience Disneyland.  You all know who you are.  I also dedicate it to all the Disneyland Characters who have helped make EVERY trip magical!

Pluto was very happy to see my mother sometime in the 1980's.

Donald was quite shy in the 1980's (or maybe it was the early 90's).

The tradition started in approximately 2003.  Two friends who share a love for Disney packed up the kids and headed to Disneyland for a weekend in the park.  We call ourselves "The Disney Chicks".  The tradition continues and the husbands are still glad to be left at home while the "Chicks" are at The Happiest Place On Earth!

One of my all time favorite photos!!

I had to include a Disney Villain!
That's all I have for Wordless Wednesday!  As you can tell I had a lot of trouble picking one or even two photos to share with you.  I hope that you all have a magical, Disney kind of day!

Donald Duck

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope that you are having a relaxing day!  Last night I attended a birthday crop for a friend.  Since Donald Duck is her favorite Disney character I thought that it would be fun to make her a Donald Duck card for her birthday.  I think he turned out super cute!

Since the Disney characters are no fun to cut out small I made her one big Donald Duck.  I used the Cricut cartridge Mickey & Friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Donald is linked up over @ Home Take 2 Weekend Blog Walk #13.  Head on over there and check out all the great blogs.  Donald is also linked up over at Krafty Girls Get In Shape Challenge 13.  Be sure to hop over there and check out all the "shaped" cards that everyone has made.

Scrap Camp Talent Round-Up

All of the decorations at Scrap Camp were just wonderful. My fellow Scrapeteer, Danielle, made the following fun Disney decorations using her Cricut.  She did such a fantastic job that I had to share them with you.

Danielle also made this adorable Buzz Lightyear card:
Danielle used the Cricut cartridges Toy Story and Sweet Treats.  She used black gems for the eyes.

Scrapeteers Danielle and Delia made this awesome magnet!  They gave one to each of us.
The following were purchased at My Fun Stampers Journey :  the Mickey gem, the bottle cap magnet and the action wobble (it is under Mickey's glove).  This magnet looks too cute on my refrigerator!

This super cute bag was made by Carol & Peggy.  We all got one of these too!
The following was used to make this bag:  sparkle felt, glitter glue, & Aileens fast set glue.  The felt letters were made using the Cuttlebug.  Yes! The Cuttlebug cut felt! Using the Cricut, a template was made for the Mickey head.  Peggy & Carol then traced the Mickey head on to the felt and had cut it out.  What a great idea! I just love it!!

Scrapeteer Delma passed out these pencils and handmade pencil holders .  Each one was personalized with our photo.
Delma used soup cans to make these pencil holders.  What a great way to recycle!

Here are just a few pictures of our scrapping area.  All the Scrapeteers are busy on their projects.

I have a few more cute things that the gals made for scrap camp to show you.  I will share those with you in my next post.  Until then, have a MAGICAL DAY!!!!

Disney Magic at Scrap Camp

I am back from my fun filled weekend at Scrap Camp and have SO much to share with you!  The theme was Disney and the ten of us who attended were the "Scrapeteers" for the weekend.  All who attended participated in the theme.  We all wore Disney themed shirts, made gifts to share and even the cookies were shaped like Mickey. It was all just too fun!! Over the next week I will share with you all the fun that I had.

These are the gift bags that I gave out to my fellow Scrapeteers.

This tag was on the gift bag that I gave out.  I cut the Mickey head using the Cricut cartridge Mickey Font. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart and I sprayed the tag with Goosebumps to give it some texture.

My van loaded and ready for a fun- filled weekend!!

The welcome table at Scrap Camp. This was located outside the door to our scrapping room.

This was on the welcome table.

This was also on the welcome table.

A partial view of the beautifully decorated room done by my friends Candy and Danielle. This was taken before the Scrapeteers arrived.

My friend Candy loves Disney just as much as I do.  She brought some of her Disney collection to use as decorations.  Those are her Disney ears hanging from the ceiling.  Some of the pictures of the Mouseketeers were taken at a Disney event the two of us attended in 2010.  That was such a thrill to meet some of the original Mouseketeers!

This is how my "Fab Five" were used. I think that they are too cute all grouped together!

I have so much more to share with you from my fabulous weekend! Be sure to check back this week.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

Disney's Fab Five

With Scrap Camp just around the corner I have been busy working on a few decorations for our scrapping room.  Each year we have a theme and this year it is Disney.  I am so excited that this is the theme!  What "Disney Girl" wouldn't love this theme? There are so many Disney choices that when I decided to make a few decorations I chose to limit my choice to just the Fab Five.  Who are the Fab Five you ask? They are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy.  So far I have three out of the five done.  Here they are:

I cut all three of them at 11 inches using the Cricut cartridge Mickey and Friends.  This cartridge was a dream to work with when cutting at 11 inches!! So much more fun than those smaller cuts!  I may just have to start making my cards this big when using this cartridge. I inked around the edges using a brown chalk ink.  I am very excited about how they turned out.

To find out more about Disney's Fab Five follow this link Ten Surprising Facts About the Disney's Fab Five.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you get a chance leave me a comment who your favorite Disney character is.  Mine is Mary Poppins with Cinderella as a very close second.  Have a Magical Day and thanks again for visiting Disney Girl Crafts.
