Well I have always been a "Disney Girl". From the very first time that I ever walked through the gates at Disneyland I was hooked! To me it really was the Happiest Place On Earth! I was a teenager when I first walked through those gates. What I remember the most about that first Park visit is how happy we all were. We all being myself, my brother and my parents. Each one of us had fun. It truly was a place were those of all ages could have a great time.
As I got older my love for Disney just increased. Not just for the park but for Disney toys and memorabilia. That being said my "toy room" was created. This room is truly my happy place. The toys are not limited to Disney. I have a few Barbies and vintage children's books in the mix also.
Later on when I discovered paper crafting the toys had to share their space with card stock, rubber stamps, ink pads and a Cricut machine. Needless to say my "happy" place is a bit crowded these days. I often suggest to my husband that the large master bedroom should be the toy & craft room. He isn't buying that idea.
Several years ago I discovered the blogging world. The first blog that I ever read was My Pink Stamper. From that moment on I was hooked! In September 2011 I decided to try my hand at blogging and that is how Disney Girl Crafts & Other Fun Things was started. I felt that I could not limit my blogging to just crafts and Disney so "other fun things" got added on.
I am married to a wonderful man who is very supportive of all my hobbies. Whether it be crafting, blogging or planning a trip to Disneyland he is supporting me all of the way. I am the mother of one sweet girl who is growing up so fast right before my eyes! When I blink I feel that I have missed something changing with her. For all of those who told me that kids grow up fast and to enjoy every minute you were right they do grow up fast!
