Hello Disney and Crafty Friends! Here it is just days shy of Disneyland's reopening. It is an understatement to say that I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. Although I will not be there on this exciting day I cannot wait to see the photos from those that will be. I am sure that Disney magic will be felt all over!

It's Raining...............
Hello Disney and Crafty Friends! It is raining here in the desert tonight and for whatever reason the rain made me feel like blogging. I am not sure why it did but here I am.
What a first half of 2017 it has been! Life was rolling merrily along until late January when I had the unfortunate experience of pulling a muscle while exercising. I will spare you of all the details but just know that I am on a first name basis at the Physical Therapist office.
In February I experienced Disneyland like I had never experienced it before. Due to my injury I had to rent a scooter. With crutches strapped to the side of the scooter, off I went. With a lot of help from my teenage daughter and the patience of the rest of our traveling group we had a successful trip! One can never have a bad time at the Happiest Place On Earth!! The highlight of the trip was seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade. Oh! How I have missed having this parade at Disneyland. I am so happy it is back!
From February to May I really learned a lot about myself and the power of setting a goal. Prior to my exercising injury I had signed up to run a 5K in Disneyland in May. There was no
way I was going to miss this race. Even if I had to crawl the entire thing I was doing it. With a lot of encouragement from my husband, daughter, my running buddy, the PT staff and some very close friends I did that race. The process to get to that day was a painful one but I did it. I walked and limped the entire thing but I did it. No scooter, no crutches, no walking stick...I did it. Best accomplishment to date. Crossing that finish line was the best feeling ever. Oh...and here it is July and all is well....not even a limp!! September 10K here I come!
On a crafting note I have made a few cards over the last few months. I absolutely LOVE the stamps and dies from Stephanie Barnard Stamps of Life! If you have not tried her products be sure to head on over to her website and check out all of the fun things that she has.
Speaking of crafting. this past June I attended my annual "Scrap Camp". The theme this year was "board games". It was super fun! I look forward to this weekend every year. It was wonderful to spend a weekend filled with friendship. laughter and crafting.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend doing something that you love. Thanks for stopping by and have a magical day!

The theme this week is my absolute favorite! It is Disney Parades! A BIG thanks to Deb over at Focused On The Magic for hosting this great hop. No one loves a parade more than I do. I had SO much trouble picking one photo for today's hop (so I didn't).
I really think that the Cast Members bring the parades to life. They make me feel as if I am part of the fun!
Do you have a favorite parade? Hands down mine is The Electrical Parade. I wish that they would bring it back to Disneyland. Thanks so much for stopping by. be sure to check out all the other wonderful blogs linked up to today's Wordless Wednesday. Have a magical day!

Happy Sunday!
Hello Disney and Crafty Friends!! Where has the month of April gone? I cannot believe that the last week of the month is here! It has been a busy month! We had out of town company earlier this month. Such a great visit! Friends from NY, FL, and family from CA. My hubby and I hosted Easter dinner for family and friends. My daughter made this for dessert:
April is Deal of the Day month at Close To My Heart. There are still a few days left this month for you to take advantage of the special. Head on over here to read all about it.
I took advantage of one of the higher priced deals and here is my box of goodies:
Cupcakes loaded with toppings! It made for a pretty centerpiece on the dessert table.
Our desert tortoises are out of hibernation. Here is one of them:
I have been participating in several Cricut cut swaps. Some of you may be asking what a swap is. Well, how a swap usually works is a group decides on a theme, number of participants and what is to be exchanged. Everyone participating sends their assigned cut to the coordinator of the swap and he or she sends everyone a variety of cuts back to each participant. So if ten people participate you will end up with 10 different cuts (one of which is your own). It is a great way to get a variety of different cuts. In the swaps that I have recently participated in they have been Disney themed Cricut cuts. For the first one I was assigned the "mystery" cut. I LOVE doing the mystery cut. I decided to make Mickey's pants, glove and small title. You can see all three below.
This next photo is not the best. It is a work in progress. I was busy getting my "lounge chairs" ready to mail out to the swap coordinator. Usually the coordinator asks that we put each cut in an individual bag with our name on it. I like to make little labels with a message to put on my swap baggies. I also put one of my blog cards in with it. The "lounge chair" is for a Disney Cruise swap that I am in. These chairs took HOURS of my time. LOL Hours because I was trying to "slice" in Design Space when I should of "attached". A call to Provo Craft solved my problem. I wished I would of placed that call sooner. LOL!!

There are a lot more goodies underneath that first layer.
So there you have it......my month of April. At the moment I am working on another "mystery" cut for another Disney Themed swap. This one will be all "Toy Story" cuts. I cannot wait to see what everyone makes. Once my cut is complete I will share with you what I did.
I hope that you have had a great month!! Don't forget that you still have this week to participate in the monthly challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. Head on over here to do so. I would love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a magical day!

Wordless Wednesday
My favorite time of the week has arrived. It is Wordless Wednesday hosted by Deb over at Focused On The Magic. Be sure to head on over there and check out all of the great blogs that have linked up.
I recently returned from a wonderful trip to Disneyland! It was magical! One of the highlights for me actually was in California Adventure. I was walking by myself to the lockers and I felt someone come up behind me. Well that someone was Pluto! He put his arm on my shoulder and together we walked. SO fun!! Over at Disneyland I had much fun riding Big Thunder as many times as I possibly could. I love that ride....The wildest ride in the wilderness!! It was a great vacation and of course I can't wait to go back!!

Hello Disney and Crafty Friends! Scrapbook Blessings Club has a new *challenge starting today. The theme is ANYTHING GOES with the Design Team spotlighting "Diamond Fold" cards. Have I mentioned lately how happy I am to be part of such an awesome team! Be sure to head on over here to see the wonderful things that the Design Team has done with Diamond Fold! Here is what I came up with:
I must admit....I struggled with the fold. As easy as it is....I struggled at first. LOL Once I got going, though, I went on to fold three more. Those cards are in the works and hopefully you will see them in the next few weeks. I am not sure why the fold was difficult for me at first because now I think...WOW!! Easy card. LOL That being said my tip is to never give up when trying a new technique.
