September Challenge

Hello Disney and Crafty Friends!  It is time for a new challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. The challenge for September is "Anything Goes"  (with an optional twist - your favorite technique).  To join in the challenge please head on over here to Scrapbook Blessings Club.  The sponsor for this month is Scrapping For Less.

I decided to make a card for the challenge.  "Today" I would say my favorite thing is to use my dies.  One of my all time favorites is the "Rainy Day" set.  I also LOVE my Wink of Stella Brushes!  These brushes come in so many colors.  If you have yet to get one what are you waiting for?  They are awesome!  Head on over to Scrapping For Less and check it out.

Recipe:

  • C.C. Designs rubber stamp "Rain" #PC1026

Challenge #19...Anything Goes...Pop-Up Box Card

Who is ready for a challenge?  It is time for challenge #19 over at Scrapbook Blessings Club.  Anything goes for the challenge!  How easy is that?  The Design Team has some awesome "Pop-Up Box Cards" to show you and a great "how-to" video.  These are so fun to make!  Our wonderful sponsor for the challenge is DRS Designs.  To check out their stamps head on over here.

Before I show you my card I do have a tip to share with you. Sometimes Stickles or other liquid embellishments will smear your inked image. If you do not have time to test it out...just run the liquid embellishment right under your stamped line.  In most cases you will get the same effect without going over the inked outline.

Recipe:

  • Rubber stamps:  Marty The Marshmallow  and Cocoa and the Marshmallows by DRS Designs. The marshmallows were stamped on colored card stock and then cut out.  I used my clear Wink of Stella brush to add a bit of glitter to them.
  • The cups of cocoa were colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I used the clear Wink of Stella brush and also Stickles on the cups.
  • All patterned paper is from Close To My Heart
  • The phrase "A cup of cheer" was cut at 2 1/4 inches using the Cricut Cartridge Winter Frolic (page 59).  I used Glossy Accents and extra fine  glitter on the phrase.  I also put a little heart sticker on the cup.
  • Glue dots, acetate and adhesive.

Again, I would like to thank DRS Designs for sponsoring this challenge.  These stamps were awesome to work with!  I just love the faces on the marshmallows!!  I hope that you will join in on the challenge.  Remember, anything goes although I would love it if you tried to make a pop-up box card.  They are just too fun!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope that you have a magical day!

Here is what I made with my card kit.

Needless to say I have a lot paper and embellishments left.  One of my favorite things about my kit was that I was able to try a product that I hadn't used before. The kit contained the "Wink of Stella" brush. This was my first time using this product and I just LOVE this brush!! If you enjoy adding a bit of glitter to your projects then this is the brush for you!  Scrapbook Blessings Club recently did a review of this product.  You can check it out here.

I am SUPER excited that Scrapbook Blessings Club has teamed up with Scrapping For Less to offer a monthly card kit!  There is a lot of crafting fun in store for us with these monthly kits!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I cannot wait to see what you create with your monthly kit.  Have a magical day!
