Happy New Year!

Hello Disney and Crafty Friends! Where has the time gone? My last post was in August! Wow is really all I can say! A lot has been going on in my little corner of the world. In September I had the best time attempting to run my first Disneyland 5K.  It was so much fun that shortly thereafter I joined a running group to learn how to really run!  The goal set was to be able to run a 5K without taking any walk breaks. I am happy to report that I am "running" in the right direction with this goal.

Running (and walking) the 5K in Disneyland was such an amazing experience. I have been to the Park many, many times but I had never seen it from this perspective. If you have never done a race at Disneyland I encourage you to give it a try.

Crafting kind of took a back seat in my life this fall.  Unfortunately, a very special lady in my life, my Grandma, passed away at the age of 93.  She was amazing! If only everyone could be so lucky to have been blessed with such a fabulous Grandmother. She had unwavering faith in God and lived independently until she passed away.  She is greatly missed by all of us.

Though I did not craft much I did make one pop-up box card. If you have read my earlier posts you know that I LOVE this die set from Stamps of Life.  (The set does not include the Mickey dies.)

That is the latest here. I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to 2017! Here's to a year filled with Disney magic and lots of crafting!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a magical day!

  1. Super Cute! And I am so proud of you. Running would destroy my already bad knees but I do love to walk. Happy Creative New Year!

  2. Your pop up box card is adorable. I am so sorry about your loss. Congrats on the running!!!!

  3. Love the pop up card. You have really had quite the last few months. Hope we get to see more of your creations coming up in the new year. Prayers of comfort for your family.

  4. Stopping in to say hello. Wondering where the new creative pieces are hiding? Maybe if I start moving things around......

  5. While reading our monthly calendar for West Plains, I saw where the local hospital has a 5k group. You can workout with the group or on your own to prepare for a local 5k run coming up in a few weeks. You almost inspired me to sign up but I don't think my knees would take it. I'll just keep cheering you on, twin! You can do it! Hugs & Blessings

  6. So sorry for your loss!
    Congrats on the run!

  7. Okay, I've moved some things around. Saw a couple of card kits you've purchased.. still unused. Maybe now that you're on the mend you'll be back to playing. Love ya, Twin! Creative Blessings

    1. Thanks twin! This comment has inspired me to get blogging!!

  8. Hey Lady! You said I'd inspired you to get blogging. So... where's a new post? LOL Glad you're moving around better. Hugs!
