Let's Hop!

Hello Disney and Crafty Friends! Today is all about hopping.....a blog hop that is. As a Design Team member over at Scrapbook Blessings Club I thought that I would join in on a hop that they are part of.  The hop is "Create A Card Blog Hop".  I recently found a "new" favorite card to make. It is called a pop-up diorama.  I got my directions from Julie Davison on SplitCoast Stampers.  Head on over here to read all about how to create a pop-up diorama card.  It is much easier than it looks!

This is the card that you saw over at Scrapbook Blessings Club and it was my first attempt.

This is my second card that I made using this technique.

Inside.....I left the message area blank.  I am not sure what I will put in this one.....maybe an image instead of a greeting.

This is my favorite!  It is the size of a gift enclosure card.  I just thought at a smaller size this card was extra fun!!  Plus out of an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of card stock you can make the above card and this one out of the one piece of card stock!

Recipe:

  • Easter Wishes stamp set by Close To My Heart
  • Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge by Close To My Heart
  • Paper, stickers and ribbon from my stash
  • Stickles
  • Liquid Glass by Close To My Heart
  • Embossing Folders
  • Kaleidacolor Birthstone ink pad
  • Kaleidacolor Blue Breeze ink pad
  • Impress Pansy ink pad
  • Punches (circle and flower)
  • Chalk Ink
For these cards I really felt like I was "shopping" in my craft room!  I used a stamp set (Easter Wishes) and an embossing folder that I had never used before. SO fun!!  Also, I just love that the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge coordinates with the Easter Wishes stamp set.  I cut the eggs out on the Cricut and then stamped them.  I also used some ink pads that haven't been out in years! I used them on the eggs.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hopping along.  Should you get lost during the hop just head on over to the Scrapbook Blessings Club and the line up of blogs is listed.  Have a magical day!

We're Hopping With A Card Kit!

Happy first day of June Disney and Crafty Friends! It is our monthly card kit reveal time and blog hop time! Yes you heard it right....monthly card kit reveal and a blog hop!   Scrapbook Blessings Club is joining up with Scrapping For Less, and we are bringing you affordable Mini CARD KITS!!!  For June, we are featuring  Mayberry from American Crafts and the Design Team invites you to hop a long and see all that they have created with this awesome kit!  You should of arrived here from Teresa's blog, Fresh and Renewed.  Ok... on to the card kit:

It is perfect for all levels of scrapbookers! So whether you are a newbie or an experienced scrapper, these kits have everything you'll need to create fast and easy projects. All you need to do is get out your scissors, paper trimmer and adhesive.

Why card kits? A couple of reasons.... one is getting fabulous papers and embellishments from popular scrapbooking companies, without buy a ton that you would never use and letting it all just sit in the drawer.
The second is cost. Most of us are frugal scrappers and affordability is high on the list.  It is not always easy to spend $30- $50 on a kit.

Our kits will be $15.00 which INCLUDES shipping!

And lastly is convenience. With these kits there is no guess work in getting papers to coordinate along with embellishments and fabrics, etc.

Who doesn't love fun and affordable--papers, flowers, chalk inks, brads, chalkboard, stamps, buttons.. more!! Every month you get something a little different!

Here is what I made with the June card kit.  I have SO much stuff left in the kit and I cannot wait to play with it all!

My Tip:  Sometimes images do not need colored.  They just need stamped on plain or patterned card stock.  My watermelon is an example of this.

This is a blog hop.  The next stop on the hop is Marilyn's Crafts. Here's the line up in case you get lost along the way.
