Fun With Paper Dolls

Each month I meet with a wonderful group of ladies to stamp and share ideas with. We call ourselves Frayed Knots.  We all take turns teaching a class throughout the year. April was my month to teach.  Well instead of teaching something new I thought it would be fun for all of us to make a paper doll.  I cut each doll at 8 inches using the Cricut cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up. I also cut out outfits & hair styles for each doll. I provided embellishments and turned the group loose to create their doll.  As you can tell by the photos they all turned out too cute!  Each doll is so unique! These dolls were made for a special member of our group who is experiencing some health issues.  I thought it would be nice to link all the dolls together to form a banner and give them to our friend. This way she can hang up the dolls in her room while she is recovering from recent surgery and feel like we are all with her (we all wrote her a get well note on the back of the doll we made). Hopefully these dolls will bring a smile to her each time she looks at them.

Home Sweet Home Challenge over at Krafty Girls

Home Sweet Home is Tucson, AZ

I made this card for the first challenge over at Krafty Girls.  The challenge was to make a project of a country, state, city or town that is special to you. Being such a Disney fan it was hard not to make something representing Anaheim, CA.  I ended up choosing Tucson, AZ as that is where I live.  I feel there are no mountains prettier than those that surround our valley.  The Cricut cartridges that I used to make this card were Toy Story, Simply Charmed and Paper Doll Dress Up. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folders for the sun, small cactus and the cowgirl's skirt.  The cowgirl's face is a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.

My Valentine Girl

I made this card for My Creative Time With Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  The challenge was to make a Valentine's Day card using any Cricut cartridge.  I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the girl.  I cut her at four inches.  I used Simply Charmed for the hearts.  The rubber stamps I used were from Peachy Keen,  Stampendous, Hero Arts and Hampton Art.  I have had the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for a long time and have not used it much.  This sweet girl was super fun to make.  I think I will be using this cartridge more often.
