Scrap Camp 2013

It comes but once a year but it is so worth the wait.  What is it you ask?  It is Scrap Camp. I spend three fun-filled days once a year with 9 amazing ladies.  We have done it for years now.  We started out as part of a group of over 100 gals.  The woman that organized the event moved on to other things but not our amazing group of ten!  We continue on and as we do so does the fun!! This year the theme was "Beach".  I was in charge of the prizes and enjoyed every minute of the shopping that goes along with being the Prize Patrol! I started my shopping last summer once items hit the clearance racks.  For almost a year I stored beach blankets, sand pails, coolers, etc.  You name it and if it was beach related I stored it for prizes at camp.  Here is a peek into the beginning of the fun:

The brightly colored pails that I was storing soon turned into a welcome gift full of goodies for the Scrapping Beach Babes that attended camp.

Here are just a few of the things that I filled the pails with:

I found these adorable sunglasses at Target.  They are bag clips.  Too cute, huh?  What is a day at the beach without sunglasses?

You can always use flip flops at the beach.  These are note pads.

Sunscreen is a MUST!

Water is super important on a hot beach day!

The pails are coming along.

They are finally done!

Here is a close up of the tag.  I used my Cricut to cut out the beach ball.  I sprayed Goose Bumps on it to give it the "wet" look.  On the back I added a welcome note wishing the Beach Babe a
"Sand-Tastic Time!"

I hope that you enjoyed the peek into camp.  I have lots more to share with you.  Thanks for stopping by and have a magical day!!
