National Scrapbook Day In Review

Hello friends!  As all of you crafty ones know, this past Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day.  I spent this wonderful "holiday" at an all day event hosted by the Women With Scissors.  The day was filled with friends, food, challenges, prizes, and laughter.  Oh, and lets not forget that I did do a little paper crafting while I was there.

One of the challenges was to design a hat.  Each of us was given a birthday hat (think old fashioned birthday party hat complete with a rubber band chin strap). A table of paper and embellishments was provided for us to use to create our party hat.  It was so much fun to see what everyone did with their hat.  Here is what we all came up with:

I am a winner!

Didn't the hats turn out great?  The ideas that everyone came up with were amazing.  The day ended with several prize drawings.  I was a lucky gal as I won one of them! Woo Hoo!!

After celebrating National Scrapbooking Day I got to thinking of when I first realized that I could find paper crafting information online. (help for using my Cricut to be exact)  The first blog that I ever read was Robyn's over at My Pink Stamper.  If you have never been to her blog before what are you waiting for?  LOL  Head on over and check it out.  She has some wonderful videos and tips.

Well now that NSD is over the next BIG crafting event on my mind is SCRAP CAMP!! I still have a ways to go before it is here but I cannot wait.  To read about last years camp go here.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a magical day!
